about

Inspired by Space, the natural world, love, and a multitude of other things, this collection of songs walks a path between gentle and colossal.

This is music that soundtracks the way I feel about everything around me. I'm fascinated by nature & space so I document those things via my music. Sometimes I use news articles I read to spark an idea which is especially so on 'Golden Spike' which is about how scientists are trying to mark the exact start of the Anthropocene Period (how man has made an indelible mark on our planet) by examining a solitary tree on Campbell Island in the sub-Antarctic ocean and finding evidence of Carbon 14 from nuclear testing within its rings.
I can't seem to settle on a particular genre so I kind of straddle a few but the one constant throughout is my use of piano. It's there in the quiet bits and it's there in the louder stuff.

The title track - Too Fast For Slow - was written about 20 years ago with Dan Scoggins who wrote the music and played the excellent piano on this track. Also, my good friends David Celia and Marla generously contributed vocal harmonies and sublime guitar work on Sing To Me.
