we met in a coffee shop

so we started a relationship
totally regardless

we did all the lovely things
late nights and lie ins
walked and talked and found our feet
laughed like we would never stop

watched the sun rise from the sea
listened to the waves crash
music, parties, pictures
the love we had spread like a rash

at five months we moved up a gear
decided on just one roof
got a little scary
if i'm gonna tell the truth

found our groove and carried on
summer was a blur
festivals and fun for us
we couldn't have enjoyed more

changed our beat and broke away
got a little straighter

life found tests to try us out
broken foot and bullies

passed with flying colours
